Mechanical Stage

If you're purchasing an Explorer or an Observer III/IV, then you'll want a mechanical stage. When attached on top of your existing microscope stage, this handy device will hold your slide firmly and allow you to move it precisely by means of two dials. Great for students! (Which only takes a couple of minutes!) Our Explorer and Observer lines are pre-drilled and ready to have this stage attached to them. (Which only takes a couple of minutes!) All our Revelation scopes already come with a mechanical stage attached.

100XR Achromatic Objective
(Oil Immersion Lens)

This retractable oil immersion lens will boost your magnifying power to 1000x! All of BestScopes.com's compounds have room for this lens; however, it is best for our Observer and Revelation lines since they both have fine focus.

NOTE: If you'll be adding this to an Observer III, it will be equivalent to an Observer IV. This lens is DIN threaded, achromatic, and color corrected. A 1 oz. bottle of immersion oil is included.

Teaching Head
$45 ($105 with 2 eyepieces)

Best for classroom and homeschool use, a teaching head simply allows two people to view a specimen at the same time. It replaces the regular head with just the turn of a screw! The teaching head does not come with any eyepieces, but you may use your existing eyepiece(s) with this head -- Order as many eyepieces as you need.

MiniVID Eyepiece Camera

This tiny 3 oz. camera is perfect for classroom or home use. It packs an incredible 620 x 580 picture element and attaches to a standard 23mm eyepiece tube (comes with a 30mm stereoscope adapter). It also comes with a miniature lens that allows it to be used as a hand-held camera or attach it to a gooseneck stand (purchased separately). It can focus as close as 1/4 inch out to infinity. This camera comes with an RCA output to plug directly into your TV or VCR or it comes with a USB connector to plug into your computer (software included with USB version). The RCA version comes in an NTSC format used in North America and many South American countries, or PAL which is used in most of Europe and much of South America (sorry, SECAM not supported).
